Here are some ways to find a local game store to learn to play Magic:
1. Attend a Magic event. If you know of any Magic events happening in your area, attend one. This is a great way to meet other Magic players and learn about game stores in your area. Once you have found a few game stores in your area like The Gamer’s Haven in Spokane Washington ( https://thegamershaven.net ), you can visit them and see if they offer any introductory Magic: The Gathering events or lessons. These events and lessons are a great way to learn the basics of the game and meet other players.
2. Look for online forums or groups. There are many online forums and groups dedicated to Magic: The Gathering. You can ask members of these forums or groups for recommendations on game stores in your area. One of the best apps to utilize is Discord. 3. Use the Wizards Store Locator. This is a website that Wizards of the Coast, the company that produces Magic: The Gathering, maintains. It allows you to search for game stores in your area at magic.wizards.com
4. Ask your friends or family. If you know anyone who plays Magic, ask them if they know of any good game stores in your area. In 2023 it would be difficult to find a family that doesn't know about the company Wizards of the Coast owned by Hasbro. Especially after Post Malone just bought a card for $2.6 million (and no, it wasn’t a card from the 90’s).

Look for a store that hosts Magic events. If you want to play Magic more seriously, you'll need to find a store that hosts Magic events. This will give you the opportunity to compete against other players and improve your skills.
In my humble opinion, The Gamer’s Haven checks all these marks. Unfortunately, they reside in 1 city, so you may have to look for something more local to you.
